Shadows

As a photographer and artist, shadows are your friend.  It is what gives your images depth, moodiness, and shape, so embrace it.  In the beginning, I used to flat light my subjects a lot which is very flattering, but lacks dimension.  Only recently, I started gaining more confidence playing with shadows and really making it part of my photography.  I love the end results especially when I turn images black and white.  There is so much more depth, mood,  and meaning to these images because of shadows.  I feel it shows off all the little but most important details of newborn babies. I hope you enjoy looking through these.
